Joe:

Joe Ridgeway is a Gold Seal Certified Flight Instructor (CFI-I) and an Advanced Ground Instructor (AGI). He has been flight instructing for more than three years and has over 1500 hours of dual instruction given. He can help you train for your private license, instrument rating, commercial license or flight instructors license.  Joe lives in Bondurant with his wife and three children.  He available to instruct weekends, evenings and holidays.

Tom:

Tom Ballard has over 1300 hours in Single Engine Land aircraft.  Tom is a Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFI-I) with over 500 hours of flight instruction and also has an Advanced Ground Instructor license with over 700 hours of  classroom  Private/Commercial/Instrument ground instruction.  Tom is certified in Piper Warrior/Archer, Piper Arrow (complex aircraft), Cessna 152, 172, 182 (G-1000 panel) as well as use of Garmin 530/430 GPS systems.

Rick:

Rick Gleason is a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI-I) and an Air Traffic Controller. He took his first flying lesson in 1978 while still in high school and started at DSM Tower in 1982. Rick provides primary instruction for private, recreational and sport pilot ratings and advanced instruction for the instrument rating and commercial license. He is an avid tailwheel pilot and gives instruction in tailwheel airplanes. He is a member of Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) and National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI), Rick provides personalized instruction tailored to your skills and experience.

Edi:

Edi Avdic is Certified Flight Instructor (CFI-I and MEI) and an Advanced Ground Instructor. He is a graduate of Dubuque University (Iowa) with a degree in Flight Operations.  Edi previously instructed in Dubuque and in the New York City area. He can help you get your private, instrument, commercial and multiengine ratings and provide help with ground school.  Edi also is certified in the Piper Warrior, Piper Arrow, Piper Seminole, Trinidad TB20, (complex aircraft), Cessna 152, 172, (G-1000 panel), as well as use of Garmin 530/430 GPS systems.

Dennis:

Dennis Jones is a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI-I and MEI) with 18000 hours of total flying time and over 2000 hours of dual instruction given. Dennis was a check airman and a simulator instructor for a part 121 airline and has multiple type ratings ranging in aircraft from King Airs to the MD-80.  He has designed and built his own bi-plane aerobatic aircraft and also has experience in multiple types of tailwheel aircraft.  With a rich background in various aircraft and training environments Dennis can provide instruction that will meet the most demanding requirements.

At Flying JTD flight training is all we do and this allows us to dedicate all of our time toward getting you your license or rating.  Training is scheduled around the student's schedule.  Progress is tracked and reviewed after each lesson.  Check flights with another instructor are scheduled at critical points in the training cycle.
